IAHCR proudly announces that Jonathan Daege, RN, CHCR is the newest member of our organization to attain his certification as a Certified Health Care Recruiter (CHCR). The National Association for Health Care Recruitment (NAHCR) credentialing examination, developed in conjunction with and administered by Cross Country University, provides professional Health Care Recruiters and Human Resources Professionals the opportunity to earn the credentials, Certified Health Care Recruiter (CHCR).

Credentialing provides professionals the opportunity to demonstrate their professional knowledge and skill set. Michele Snider, President of IAHCR shares, “I am proud to add Jonathon’s name to the long list of other CHCR’s within our Indiana chapter. Indiana has one of the largest contingencies of CHCR’s throughout the country and we are hoping to grow that number even more this year.”

IAHCR 2011 Scholarship Award Winners

The Indiana Association of Health Care Recruiters (IAHCR) is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the IAHCR Annual Scholarship Program. The IAHCR 2011 Scholarship Award winners are:

Ryan Trevithick, Pharmacy Student, $500
Charles Kitchell, Radiation Therapy Student, $500
Sara Crist, Registered Nurse Student; $500
Rebekah Ellinger, Registered Nurse Student, $1,000

The monetary scholarship awards will be paid directly to each student’s college and applied toward the 2011 fall semester’s tuition. The criteria to be eligible for the IAHCR Scholarship Award includes being an Indiana resident currently enrolled and in good standing (with a competitive GPA) at an accredited Indiana school, in one of these program categories:

  • Medical Imaging, Physical Therapy (Doctorate)
  • Respiratory Therapy, Pharm D (Butler or Purdue)
  • Registered Nursing (Undergraduate)

In addition, each applicant was required to submit two letters of recommendation, as well as a 500-word essay explaining why he or she should receive a scholarship award from IAHCR. The applications submitted by these four students demonstrate leadership, academic achievement, and a sincere desire to pursue healthcare as a career. Our organization believes these students will greatly contribute to the healthcare services of our Hoosier state!
